Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.
The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. The most common schedule is 7 amβ7 pm. It is closed on Sunday. Philadelphia is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Philadelphia follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

We ordered and prepaid for 10 pizzas a day in advance. We changed the order to 8 pizzas on the same day. We were told that it wouldn't be a problem and that a refund would be made on my credit card. The owner misled us. He was not truthful. He did not tell us that we would not be refunded for the difference. Instead, they delivered 8 pizzas for the price of 10. They delivered less pizzas, kept the extra charge plus tip, and didn't tell me. When I spoke to the owner about it, he got angry. He yelled at me, said he was doing me a favor, and that he would never do it again. He offered to pay the difference in cash, but we are not from Philadelphia. We will not be back again. If refunding my credit card was a problem, the owner should have told us from the start. I would have kept the original order. Full transparency and honest business practices are essential for the integrity and reputation of any business. Unfortunately, John's Place just proved that transparency and honest business practices are not core values for them. Very disappointing.

Me and my family have been patronizing this business for years and as of lately their delivery service has been horrible, leaving food outside without calling. Relying on an app service that the elderly can work around then threatening to stop delivering because of their mistakes. Completely unprofessional. Vince has an entitled and threatening manner while handling business. Sadly this business has gone down hill. Never received our food

So my friend wanted a NY flavor slice of pizza, but in Philadelphia. I highly recommend John's Place for pizza if you're looking for a NY flavor type of slice. I went on a Thursday evening around 6:10pm and it stated online that they closed at 7pm for now. The workers were welcoming and the order of 2 pepperoni slices was served in under 10 minutes. It was served hot and had a good dough that wasn't flimsy and stayed afloat during the entire devourourment. Good cheese to pepperoni ratio. I added the extra italian seasonings and parmesan cheese offered to shake on yourself. They have competition nearby but this is your spot if like I said you're looking for a NY style slice of pizza pie. The mozzarella sticks (6) are good also served with a good, chunky marinara sauce included.

I had the mini cheesesteak special with fries and a drink was included, today. As usual the customer service was good, the seating area was clean and the price was just right. If you're in a mood for a quick lunch or something to eat. Stop by John's Restaurant you will not be disappointed. I added another photo of a breakfast platter that I had some time ago as well.
